The Yemeni Coffee Festival for the third consecutive day is held in Al-Sab’een Park in Sana’a amidst official interaction and a large popular presence.
The festival expresses the status of this historical and monetary crop among other agricultural crops and future hopes for Yemeni coffee to regain its place at the forefront of global markets due to its quality and taste.. The crops of the Yemeni coffee plant and its many types are displayed, which have been given names that indicate the regions in which they were grown, including Yafei Matari, Al-Barai, Al-Harazi, and Al-Hafashi coffee.
The festival includes an exhibition dedicated to coffee and its ancient history, which will become one of the most important monetary resources for Yemen, in addition to cultural, popular, entertainment and shopping events.
The festival includes a number of cultural events in addition to a symposium on the history of Yemeni coffee, the historic city and port of Mocha, an exhibition of historical photos of the city of Mocha, and an exhibition of fine arts and folk costumes.
The festival also includes pavilions for tasting Yemeni coffee in its various types, which is distinguished by a unique taste that is unmatched by any other coffee, especially if it is roasted in specific ways that preserve its quality and flavour.
